Here is the proposed first floor plan which shows the new kitchen, mudroom, butler's pantry area plan as well as the two new barrel vaulted openings connecting the kitchen area to the dining area.  This part of the house had undergone some very unfortunate alterations in the early 1960's that required the floor plan to be completely reworked.  A powder room off the kitchen area was also added as well as a breakfast nook which was positioned to capture beautiful views of the landscaped grounds and the harbor entrance beyond.  The kitchen/breakfast area will now enjoy wonderful light and a connection to the other main spaces on this floor.
